Ongoing languages tuition (all languages)

This is a traditional tuition service where lessons are provided on an ongoing basis. Following an initial session where I understand your aims and reasons for learning a language and your current level (whether it’s complete beginner or advanced), I will then deliver lessons tailored to your needs according to an agreed schedule. For those who live within an easily commutable distance of me, I can offer face-to-face tuition. I also offer online tuition (via Skype) for those who do not live close to me or those who prefer this medium. Online tuition is fast becoming a competitive alternative to face-to-face and for many is in fact preferable. This is because it allows you to make use of your computer’s or device’s built-in information sharing applications, use a range of multimedia and record lessons for reference later.

Diagnosis and advisory sessions (all languages – online only)

You may not wish to have tuition on an ongoing basis, but instead need a session or two to receive targeted advice and help on your language learning or exam technique. I provide one-hour sessions where we will discuss your issue and approaches and next steps to address it. Following the diagnosis session I will also provide a short report summarising my advice and the next steps identified. These sessions are perfect for you (or your child) if you:

• are about to take an exam and need some help with preparation
• are already learning a language elsewhere, but need some targeted advice to help you improve

One-off conversation classes (French, Spanish and English only – online only)

Maybe you are learning a language on your own or in school, but just wish to have a chance once in a while to practise speaking the language and to receive a little feedback and guidance. These sessions are perfect for you as they focus purely on the spoken language in an area of your choice. Prior to the lesson, I will contact you by email to get your aims for the session and what you specifically want to focus on. I will then prepare a conversation session targeted to those aims and focus areas.
